Career Overview

Lousia Brooks has over 15 years of legal experience. After graduating from Texas Tech University School of Law, Louisa was a briefing attorney for the Justice William G. “Bud” Arnot, III at the Eleventh Court of Appeals in Eastland, Texas. After completing her clerkship, she attended SMU School of Law and obtained her Master of Laws in Taxation.  She then worked as an attorney for the Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas, as a Staff Attorney for Thompson & Knight, and as Commercial Counsel for GE Healthcare before becoming a Career Law Clerk to the Honorable William V. Altenberger, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of Illinois.  Louisa continues to practice in the area of bankruptcy law.
