Michael is proud to have been recently quoted in the Texas Bar Blog in their article, Texas legal professionals celebrate Pro Bono Weekabout his involvement with Tarrant County chapter of Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans (TLTV). Those who know him know his dedication to serving the less privileged in our community. In particular, the Tarrant County chapter of TLTV has supplied an excellent outlet for attorneys wishing to give their time and abilities to serve those who have given so much to our country. Michael has served, along with a dedicated band of local attorneys, in the Tarrant County Bar Association’s TLTV committee since its inception in 2010. Since that time, TLTV has served hundreds of veterans providing them free legal advice and counsel both at the monthly legal clinics and by having attorneys take cases pro bono.

This week is Celebrate Pro Bono Week, a national event that aims to raise awareness of the importance of pro bono work and show case attorney efforts throughout the country. Use the hashtag, #CelebrateProBono, and the Texas-specific hashtag, #ProBonoTX, to show how you celebrate pro bono week.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said the nearly $15 billion deal “adequately and fairly” compensates consumers and gets the polluting vehicles off the road as soon as possible. The German automaker acknowledged last year that about 475,000 Volkswagens and Audis with 2-liter, four-cylinder diesel engines were programmed to cheat on emissions tests.”
